Norma S. Lithgow

"Beautiful and natural autumn mystic colors are expressed from the artist's heart in each of her paintings. An energy is expressed in each of her paintings through a simple originality, creating a speechless and beautiful effect."

This is but one description of the vibrant paintings of Norma Lithgow. The native of Honduras received her early training at the Academy of San Vincent Paul in her homeland. Norma later arrived in New York City to study fashion, attending French's Fashion Academy, NYC.   She later studied art at the Academia de Bellas Artes, Spain.

Norma's works have been exhibited in many galleries including: Cork Gallery, Lincoln Center; Galleria Casa de la Cultura Espanola, NYC; Casa Espana Galeria, NYC; Galleria 13, W 43rd Street, NYC; and Hamilton Grange, Harlem, NYC.

Ms. Lithgow’s wonderfully expressive “Jazz Series” paintings have been exhibited in NY’s JVC Jazz Festival 2003 & 2004 art exhibitions, and have won her an enthusiastic following. Her creations are in private and public collections across the USA and Latin America. Institutions that have exhibited her paintings include: El Museo del Barrio, East Harlem, NYC; UnitedNations, NYC; and Museo de Bellas Artes, Leon, Spain.
