Victor has been painting for over 12 years, and specializes in realistic oil and watercolor paintings of seascapes, landscapes, and traditional chattel houses.
Although he considers himself a self-taught artist, he did sharpen his skills during a stint at the Barbados O'Level Institute under the tutelage of the late artist and educator, Winifred Cumberbatch.
Victor's award winning paintings have been exhibited at the Hotel Continental, Miami, FL; the OAS Gallery, Washington, DC; as well as the Caribbean's premier arts festival, CARIFESTA V, held in Trinidad and Tobago. His work is frequently exhibited in Barbados' most prominent art galleries, including Kirby Gallery, Verandah Art Gallery, and Bagatelle Great House. His thoughts are simple yet profound: " I see art as capturing the wonderful works of the creator, of which there is a never ending quest to achieve perfection. Learning and sharing with my fellow man is what inspires me most."
